WHY CHILDREN SHOULD LEARN TAEKWON-DO ???

Improved Attention Span

Today’s children have a very short attention span. This is unfortunate because you need to keep your focus in order to excel in school or your career. Taekwon-do training provides a child the distinct goal to advance through the belts. Taekwon-do training helps them to stay focus in their other pursuit.

Good Manners

Proper Taekwon-do training will improve a child’s manner. Many people have a misconception that Taekwon-do training will encourage aggressive behaviour. It’s not true. In fact, black belt students are the most courteous and gentle teenagers you can find. Here is why.

The most fundamental reason for aggressive behaviour is the lack of respect for others. In our academy, we emphasize the respect for each other especially to a senior belt or someone who’s older than you. The more you respect others, the less likely you will get into a conflict.

Too much energy left can also mean trouble for the kids. Through a Taekwon-do lesson, the children can channel their excessive energy and will stay out of trouble.

Sometimes kids can become aggressive because they want to prove to themselves how good they are. The students build self-confidence by the mastery of Taekwon-do techniques, promoting to a higher belt or optionally competing in a tournament.

WHY ADULT SHOULD TAKE TAEKWON-DO ???

Taekwon-do practicing is a great way to achieve good health, reduce stress and attain many other benefits.

We have Taekwon-do specially designed for adults. Our extensive experience in teaching adults has helped many adults to become proficient in Taekwon-do and feel good about their achievement in the martial art.

Here are some of the questions or concerns adults have before joining our lessons.

Am I strong or fit enough to learn Taekwon-do?

Most of our adult students were not in great shape when they first joined. We have different classes for adult students at various fitness and skill levels. We would recommend the right class to our adult students so that they can progress at a pace they feel comfortable with. Since we will have a class that suits your ability, you will not be embarrassed in front of other people.

KUSZA International Taekwon-Do Association (KITA)

founded by Hj.Saiful Nizam Ashari.

I am not very flexible or agile. Will I be able to make those difficult movements?

Our member start their training at varied degree of flexibility. On the average, teenage students progress faster than adult students do.

However our adult students still see significant improvement in their flexibility and agility. The key success factor here is persistency.

After even just a few months of training, you will be able to perform the movements at a level that you would previously considered impossible.

I would like to join a Taekwon-do class but I am too busy.

Perhaps you are already very busy with your family, your job and other responsibilities. You thought that you could not find any spare time to workout. Remember practicing Taekwon-Do for a total of one and half hour a week can increase your energy level and improve your health. You will probably sleep better in the night and become more productive during the day. These benefits will more than offset the time you spend learning Taekwon-Do.

Mental Fitness

Through devoted training one can gradually attain mental fitness. By practising and repeating each step to perfection, we become more patient. Self-confidence is attained through the power of one's body and the knowledge of how to use it at any place and in any situation. Sparring helps us build humility, courage, alertness, and accuracy and develops self-control. By doing patterns, we increase our flexibility, grace, balance and co-ordination. Through discipline and interaction with others, we learn co-operation and mutual respect. Prejudices are not welcome and we soon learn that racial barriers only stand in the way of our training.

Physical Fitness

There are many physical benefits for a person who practises Taekwon-Do. Along with developing a healthier, leaner and more flexible body, we also increase endurance through a typical training regime. The health-related effects of training are numerous. Taekwon-Do training:

1. Helps to release stress and enhances concentration
2. Builds strength, agility and flexibility
3. Helps the lungs to operate more efficiently
4. Conditions the heart
5. Enlarges the blood vessels and lowers the diastolic blood pressure
6. Increases blood supply to all parts of the body
7. Creates healthier body tissue by supplying it with more oxygen
8. Promotes better sleep and waste elimination
